The light does not move when the biwa sounds. Neither, for a moment, do you.

Ahead of you, past three paper seals on the Pilgrim's Way, burns the Heart of the castle. Each seal burns away when you find one of the hidden biwa players, who sit in quiet courtyards, one to a district. Listen for them: every time a biwa sounds, the rooms around you shift, and the sound comes from where the player sits.
Open sliding doors, find paper charms with lore and key charms that open locked doors and sealed gates, and look for the rare places: a flooded hall, a gilded throne room, a library of scrolls, an upside-down tea house, long lantern-lit halls, battlegrounds hanging in the void and forests of giant pillars. Your map keeps a record of where you've walked, until the biwa rewrites it.
